My Sunday in Photos

I finished my Swallowtail Shawl last night and blocked it out this morning. Whadda ya know... lace blocking really is like magic!

Swallowtail Shawl, in light blue Misti Alpaca Lace (colour CD 42), size 4.5 mm bamboo straights.

Kelly, absolutely stunning! and yes, lace and blocking makes for some of the very best magic around!

I'm close to finishing...just not quite there yet but it seems to be going faster now that I'm on border #2....

Hi all. Thank you for the kind comments. I really learned a lot by doing this project.

Marianne, the interlocking foam pads are an idea I got from Glenna. I bought them at a local toy store for around $10. You could probably fnd them at WalMart or Toys R Us. They're great because you can configure the size to whatever you're blocking (particularly good for long scarves!), and they don't absorb any water so things dry quickly on them. I consider it a big improvement over the towels I was using before!
